Offering Jumu'ah with Two Participants

A question is usually asked whether Jumu'ah can be offered with two participants. A Fatwa of the Promised Messiah (may peace be on him) on this subject is presented in the following for the benefit of members.

"A question was posed that if there are two Ahmadis in a town, can they conduct Friday service or not.

Maulawi Muhammad Ahsan submitted that congregational Prayer can be held with two participants therefore the Friday service can also be offered with two participants. The Promised Messiah (may peace be on him) said Yes, you can do so. The scholars have mentioned three men but if there is only one then he can make the count by lining up behind him his wife, etc." (Al-Hakam, March 10, 1905)
